HP Inkjet Cartridges - Where are the Compatible HP Cartridges?

HP Inkjet Cartridges have a printhead built on the cartridge. It is the small copper part on the bottom of each inkjet cartridge.  HP owns many, many patents on each printhead.  Companies which manufacture inkjet cartridges, hesitate to produce compatible cartridges for HP inkjet cartridges because of the very real possibility that HP (Hewlett Packard) would file a lawsuit against the compatible cartridge manufacturer.  For this reason, you will not see any 'compatible' HP inkjet cartridges in North America.  

But I see 'HP Compatible Inkjet Cartridges' for sale on the internet.  Why?

The answer is simple.  These are not 'brand new' HP Compatible Cartridges.  These are 'Remanufactured' cartridges.  Cartridge remanufacturers, such as InkMagic International Ltd., collect or purchase empty HP inkjet cartridges.  They then clean, refill and test every HP compatible cartridge to ensure it prints perfectly.  If you see a cartridge labelled as 'HP Compatible Inkjet Cartridge', it is probably proper to assume that it is in fact a 'Remanufactured HP Inkjet Cartridge.

What are HP OEM Inkjet Cartridges?

HP OEM Inkjet Cartridges are brand new cartridges which are manufactured by HP (Hewlett Packard).  OEM means 'Original Equipment Manufacturer'.  InkMagic does not sell any OEM cartridges.

Will Remanufactured or refilled HP Inkjet Cartridges void my printer warranty?

In one word ....
